To the woman who laid beside me because I was afraid of the monsters in my closet
You taught me that there are no monsters.
To the woman who held my hand and walked me to school to protect me to guide me
You taught me that education comes first.
To the woman who I remembered more good times more laughter
You taught me that laughter heals all wounds
To the woman who nurtured me, encouraged me and taught me to dream
Whose arms are my comfort and voice is my strength I will never be too old to call you mommy and I will never be to young to call you my friend.
